How to I make my dog stop barking?
When the doorbell rings he barks like crazy. Even on tv when the doorbell rings he goes nuts.He's a yorkshire terrier almost 2 years old. plz give me tips! :-) thx

You are going to have to work at this. You need to desensitize your dog to the 'trigger' that makes him go crazy when the doorbell rings.
My dogs used to run to the door when someone came, but once when they learned that nothing exciting happened when the doorbell rings, they lost interest.
You could try this. Sit with your dog and a bowl of treats. Have a friend come to the door and knock. If your dog stays calm, give him a treat and praise. If your dog runs to the door, do nothing. Wait until he calms down, reward him. Repeat until he learns that being calm brings rewards.
Graduate to having your friend ring the doorbell. Your friend must stay outside of course. Repeat the ringing-doorbell-staying-calm-to-get-rew… cycle until your dog looks to you for rewards when he hears a visitor at the door.

They make a bark collar for that. Gives them a little zap when they bark. I dont love them but when all else fails that will make it stop...After a few weeks though I would remove it and see if he learned his lesson. They are around $90 and you can always put it on ebay after.
