What is one thing you'd change from your college experience?
I'm looking into applying to colleges in the next year or so and I'm so confused. There's one school in the area I really like, and then 3 out of state I also like. However, I'm not sure if the whole being hours away from my family is for me (I'm from a huge Greek and Italian family). What is one thing you did in college that you wish you could change, erase, or just flat out regret?

Put a lot of thought into whether you want to live close to your family, or far away. This choice can create more issues than anything else. If you are close to your family and can't imagine being away from them, living far away to go to college probably won't work for you. If you feel like your family is smothering you, you might try moving further away, it just depends on what's right for you. Look at the town surrounding the college. Is it safe? Is there anything fun to do? Is it easy to get around? How many people live there? Is there a place to get a job? Where do college students hang out? If you don't like the town life, you'll have a boring and sad college experience.
Stick with your major, even when you think it's too hard or that you don't like it. You'll get through the bad days, just remember why you're here. Changing to something easier may be more fun now, but it won't help you later. Good luck!
